This past month in Ragnarok Online has been about epic WoE battles and me attempting to level a new character, my monk. I used about 200 medals on her previously, so she could level decently. I solo'd in Turtle Island a few times using my scholar as a SP battery--soloing is still boring.

Luckily, a few people partied with me. Anji and I went to Ice Dungeon on his new scholar, and we had a great time just hanging out. Liz and I went to the same map; after getting annoyed with Abyss Lake-- for some reason everyone loves the Ice Dungeon! It was crowded there both times I went. Then like, Alex and I went down to Thors on the last stellar day of the two-week 2x EXP event, and I soared from 86 to 91 (while he levelled his scholar at the same time). It was miraculous.

Ahaha, unfortunately it ends there. I haven't levelled since! The last time I logged on I was in an especially helpful mood, and spotting two noob trans-- I immediately knew what to do! So Jason, Heather and I had a particularly nerve-wrecking time in Thors using a hunter at first, then scrambling around to make a rope for Heather's new gypsy! I even dragged syl into the craziness, because I love having him around. Too bad we cant un-card our old weapons, eh?

I've been such a slacker with my drawing practices. The things I draw end up being little shapes; sometimes they're cute but hardly a work of art.

The past month of Ragnarok came down to feeding characters bill of birds and calculating the number of medals needed for the base levels wanted. Of course I got what I wanted from the event--a Combat Knife for my scholar. Took me almost the entire month to get it, because I'm not a fast "ticketter." Before the Anniversary event Combat Knives were around 65mil, and now they go for a cool 30mil (or around there). Anyway, I'm enjoying my little dagger. The only thing I dont like is that it is breakable. I'm not used to having a weapon that is breakable! Golem-carded Combat Knife, please?!

Well, I'm sure everyone's heard about Chrono Trigger being released for Nintendo DS. Just another reason to be completely enamoured with DS, for me at least. You can pretty much write off every Square game there is but if you dislike Chrono Trigger then I'd be very surprised. I think it was one of the first games that made me really interested in "RPG" style games. I used to be so hooked on playing every RPG I could get my hands on, because I liked to watch the story unfold. Nowadays I'm pretty lax on my gaming.. maybe that's a sign of getting older? I started Etrian Oddessey a month ago, but I havent gotten very far even though it's a very cute game... reminds me of Final Fantasy Tactics in a way. I'm finding Phoenix Wright more satisfying as far as gameplay goes. You see, I dont have to kill silly monsters to get an awesome dialogue and story. All I have to do is shove evidence down people's throats.

Today they finally added the 5th Anniversary event for Ragnarok, but I'm so involved in a couple Nintendo DS games that I could honestly care less. Of course I'll get around to doing the quest(s) sometime. Thankfully they didnt put in another boring EXP event so I'm quite happy about that.

The two games I've been interested in playing are probably ones that any "hardcore gamer" has already finished and tossed aside. They are: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Etrian Oddessey. They've already been labelled as "good" games and I must say I agree! I'm already yelling at witnesses on the stand, and speaking my mind.... even though they can't hear me. And I've just started Etrian, and I must say I love the adventuring aspect of it. Not to mention the pretty pictures +_+! When I think about it... it's so strange that most of the games I enjoy came from stuff made for Nintendo. I started out on Mario of course... then all those SNES RPGs like Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Zelda, and and....Final Fantasy 6! For GBA, it was Tactics Advance and Summon Night 1 and 2. Huge gap between SNES and GBA, but yeah... thats when I was playing a few Playstation games (or not playing games at all cause they bored me). Nintendo, bringing back fun games. Good for them. :O!

For the second version of this site, I tried to pull more together by showing you all what kinds of things I like to do when I'm at the computer! For instance, I love games and connecting to the community involved in them--this domain, WINDFAIL.COM, is built on that idea. I love people and I've forged quite a few friendships in little communities like this one. It's through people whether online or in real life, that we will always learn from and share our ideas with. So I guess that's what keeps me logging on.

Currently I've gotten around to watching Code Geass, it's an anime subbed by GG. I usually don't watch anime anymore unless its a short series (less than 30 eps, please!) and something that people beg me to watch. From watching it with my boyfriend, I can understand now why people get hooked on this series! It's like a cross between Death Note and some Gundam series... I'll just call it the "mainstream CLAMP anime" because it literally has something for everyone. I'm late at saying this, but I'd recommend it. <3

I'm also trying to place more interest into my own OEKAKI by drawing in it more often. It's been severely neglected and needs more people to draw on its walls~ Even if all you have is a mouse, you should find that learning how to paint is easy for anyone.
